Sand carefully before application (sanding between coats is not necessary) starting with a coarse paper – final sanding for flooring P100-150. Sanding grades finer than P150 closes up the wood grain, which slows the penetration of the oil. Final surface sanding P180-240 is acceptable for furniture that will be treated with a cloth application.
