For exotic hardwoods (such as Mahogany, Teak, Iroko etc.) we recommend using Osmo Wood Wax Finish Extra Thin for interior wood. Although for exterior hardwoods we recommend to let the wood weather for approx. 3-4 months as an impregnation is not necessary due to the wood’s ingredients. The high natural oil content of these types of wood when in their new condition do not allow penetration of any further oil until it has been exposed to the external elements. The wood is unlikely to fade during this time.
