Food-safe Hardwax-Oil

Osmo TopOil High Solid is a food-safe Hardwax-Oil wood finish designed for countertops that is extremely tough and hard-wearing. It is water-repellent and dirt-resistant, offering exceptional protection against wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk, and water. Liquid spills bead tightly on the surface without leaving marks—simply wipe clean with a cloth.

Ideal for: Countertops, tabletops, chopping boards, ect.
Durability: Extremely tough and hard-wearing – water and chemical resistant.
Based on renewable raw materials: Soybean, sunflower, thistle oil, and carnauba and candelilla wax
Stain resistant: Resists wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk and water (DIN 68861-1A)
Saliva-resistant and sweatproof: Safe for children’s toys (EN 71.3)
Microporous finish: Breathable finish which will not crack, peel or flake
Easy maintenance: Can be spot-repaired and refreshed without sanding

Note: The above colour shades are a true likeness of the original, after application onto Oak. However, some variation may occur due to screen brightness and uploading processes. It is advisable to test colours on a small sample, as colour may appear differently on other wood species.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

By Hand with a Cloth/Rag

Apply three thin coats with a lint-free cloth.

Scrub product into wood using cloth in a circular or figure 8 pattern
Allow roughly 15-minutes for oils to penetrate
Working with the grain, remove all excess product from surface
Allow 8-10 hours drying time before recoating
Apply second and third coats following previous steps

By Hand with a Brush

Apply two thin coats with an Osmo Natural Bristle Brush or similar brush.

With a brush, work product into wood working in all directions, ensuring a thin application
Allow roughly 15-minutes for oils to penetrate
Working the brush with the grain, evenly distribute all product on surface and remove excess
There should be no visible high-build or film – if this is observed, product is over applied
Allow 8-10 hours drying time before recoating
Apply second coat following above procedure
Clean brushes using Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner or Turpentine

Tinting: Osmo Wood Wax Finish can also be used to lightly tint TopOil 3056 up to a ratio of 10:1. Do not exceed a ratio of 10 parts TopOil 3056 to 1 part Wood Wax Finish.
